Asked “best X in Austin” across 17 wellness categories, 4 AI engines named 111 real Austin businesses between them, and only 14 names were agreed on by three or more engines. Every engine answers; no two answer alike; none answers from verified outcomes.

The full parse pulled 491 distinct names out of those answers, and 111 of them are a business we can find. The rest are things the engines said that only look like businesses: “Other resources”, a certifying body, a heading. We publish the number that survives checking, not the larger one.

Every number on this page is computed from the stored census (measured 03 AUG 2026) and the stored engine answers (measured 05 AUG 2026): dated, point-in-time receipts, re-printed from the data on every build. Where a count comes from parsing what an engine wrote, we say how many survived being checked against the census rather than quoting the parse. Method: how the record book works.
