A rank comes from records: a record is one practice, in one format (best, streak, completion, or delta), at one verification tier. Verified tiers are device, on-site, and witnessed; a self-reported record always renders lighter and never outranks a verified one at equal value. Rankings compare within a format, never across formats, and ties break by consistency.

The awareness column is what the AI engines say about a business. It is real measurement and real news, so we print it. It is also the easiest thing in the world to corrupt, so it is walled off: an awareness verdict never enters a rank, never sorts a list, and is never totaled into a score. The visible separation on every page IS the firewall.

The book opens honest: 6,179 businesses, zero verified records, zero ranks. The first published ranking has a hard condition attached, checked in code, not policy: it must include an independent business whose verified record beats the benchmark. Until that day, nothing on this site is ranked, and nothing can pay to change that.

The census is a dated measurement, taken 03 AUG 2026: every business asked against the AI engines, each verdict stored and stamped with its date. A verdict is a point-in-time receipt, not a permanent judgment; a business missing a measurement reads “not yet measured,” never zero. There are no stars anywhere in this book, and there never will be.

The census is every business in these categories, and that includes licensed medical providers: physicians, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, addiction treatment centers, surgeons, and clinics of every kind. They are listed because they exist in the category, not because anything here evaluates their care.

Completion means completion of a program a business published. It is never a clinical outcome, never a diagnosis, and never evidence that a treatment worked.
